The fifteenth part of the MYSTERY series sees the return of the Five Find-Outers. Now that Fatty and his dog, Buster, have returned from a holiday, the gang can start a new adventure, beginning with a visit to Banshee Towers. Illustrated in black and white.
Larry, Daisy, Fatty, Pip, Bets and Buster are immediately on the trail when two robberies take place in the village, and though the thief has left enormous footprints, it seems as if he is able to enter houses without being seen.

The four children are on an Aegean cruise ship “The Viking Star”, all set for an uneventful holiday among the Greek islands. The purchase of a ship in a bottle, containing an ancient treasure map, changes all that and leads to a race to find a treasure island.
Recovering from measles on a remote Scottish island, Dinah, Philip, Lucy-Ann and Jack are left to fend for themselves when their host disappears. Soon theyre on the trail of a ruthless enemy through the wildest and most desolate places.
Nothing seems to be happening, so the Five Find-outers have great fun in creating their own mystery, with stories of robbers and kidnappers and the lights that flash at night on Christmass hill. But suddenly, most thrillingly, their pretend mystery turns into a real one.
The cottage in Mr Hicks garden mysteriously burns down one night, and five children think someone started the fire deliberately. Mr Goon, the local policeman, thinks so too, and isnt at all pleased to have the Five Find-Outers and Dog nosing in on his mystery.
In the cold and foggy Christmas holidays, it doesnt seem as though the Five Find-Outers and Dog will have anything exciting to investigate.
