Geronimo Stilton is the star of a series of autobiographical adventure stories, for children between the ages of 6 and 12. Geronimo is a rodent unlike any other! He is the editor and journalist of his town??s newspaper The Rodent??s Gazette. Geronimo is a mild-mannered and nervous mouse, who would like nothing better than to lead a quiet and contented life. On the contrary, his sister, nephew, and cousin enjoy getting involved in solving mysteries, and always end up dragging poor Geronimo with them.
In My Name Is Stilton, Geronimo Stilton, Geronimo blindly hires Pinky Pick to be his assistant. When she arrives at work, Geronimo is dumbfounded at her appearance. She is dressed in a slipshod manner, with plastic fish swimming around in her shoes! Surprisingly, Pinky turns out to be a rodent extraordinaire. She is a computer whiz, who is an excellent worker, not to mention very intelligent for scoring a difficult interview. But one day everything hits the fan when Geronimo learns that during an interview, Pinky told a rock star that she worked for a mean boss.
Geronimo is furious with Pinky??s behaviour. He tosses and turns over the decision to fire Pinky, especially when he learns that she has arranged for him to spend the New Year in the North Pole.
