Geronimo Stilton is a mouse who lives in New Mouse City on Mouse Island. He is the editor of the city??s biggest newspaper, The Rodent??s Gazette. A peace-loving and mild mannered mouse, he is often dragged against his will into many hair-raising adventures. In each book, a friend or relative manages to involve Geronimo in a difficult situation that requires all his ingenuity to solve and get himself safely back home again.
In Geronimo Stilton #8: Play It Again, Mozart!, Geronimo is preparing to attend a concert, when he is contacted by Professor Von Volt.
Professor Von Volt, an old acquaintance of Geronimo, tells him that the troublemakers, the Pirate Cats, are back at their old game again. This time their action could have very serious consequences, and for this reason, the professor needs Geronimo??s aid in stopping them.
The Pirate Cats have travelled back in time to 18th century Milan, where they are planning to steal Mozart??s sheet music for his first big concert. The problem is that they have stolen the music before Mozart??s concert.
If Mozart does not give his first concert, it could change the history of music forever. Geronimo travels through time, intending to stop the Pirate Cats and get the sheet music back to Mozart so that the concert can go on.
Similar to other Geronimo Stilton books, the story is peppered with interesting information about the place and about the context of the story, in this case, Milan, classical music, and Mozart.
