Sister Of My Heart

The book describes the undying love between the protagonists Anju and Sudha. Their mothers were pregnant when Sudhaƒ??s father suggested to Anjuƒ??s father that they go fishing. An accident during the time resulted in the death of Anjuƒ??s father. Sudha has always felt and thought of it as her fault that Anju does not have a father because of the fishing incident. Both their mothers went into early labour after the death of their husbands and Anju was born first. As soon as she was born, she was kept on the stomach of Sudhaƒ??s mother so the delivery was quick and safe. This leads Anju to think of Sudha as her responsibility as she was the reason for her coming into this world. The book is mostly about their struggles in life like memories of their fathers, arranged marriages, abortion, pregnancy and separation.
