The Thirteen Ghosts is a children??s book that??s written by the popular author, Geronimo Stilton. The story revolves around Creepella von Cacklefur and her little niece, Shivereen, both of who visit the scary Squeakspeare Mansion, and encounter the many spirits that roam within its rooms. The current resident of the mansion, Bobby Squeakspeare, is a direct descendant of the famous writer William Squeakspeare. The mansion is rumoured to be haunted by the ghosts of its illustrious previous occupants, and Creepella searches for the truth behind these thirteen ghosts.
Geronimo Stilton is a pseudonym for the Italian writer, Elisabetta Dami. Her books are originally written in Italian, and have been translated into 35 languages. She owns the publishing house Edizioni Piemme, and is the author of the Geronimo Stilton series and the Thea Stilton series of books. Some of the other books written by Dami are, Ghost Pirate Treasure, Meet Me in Horrorwood, Fright Night, and Return of the Vampire.
