Eli Landon is named the prime suspect when his wife is found murdered after confessing an affair. Before this devastating incident, his life had seemed to be perfect with a beautiful wife, a brilliant legal career and a wonderful house. Even though the court acquits him, he is constantly annoyed by the media. His friends abandon him and a detective with a grudge is hounding after him. He moves to a small town sanctuary of Whiskey Beach to get away from all this. He meets the mysterious, yet compassionate and courageous Abra Walsh there.
