In Geronimo Stilton #18 Shipwreck On The Pirate Islands, the 18th installment of the series, Geronimo is cajoled by his family into going on a vacation to Pirate Islands for a getaway. At first, Geronimo is not too thrilled with idea. He is too occupied with the demands of his career to just get up and take a break. Then his little nephew Benjamin convinces him otherwise. He envisioned a relaxing getaway at Soft Squeak Resort, however his sister insists on a fun-filled adventure which could only be had on Pirate Islands. Geronimo is not too thrilled with the choice of destination, as he warns it is an island filled with mouse-eating animals such as pythons, tarantulas and tigers. As they approach the island via a hydroplane, that a tornado causes their plane to crash, leaving Geronimo and his family stranded on an island.
